Using The Data Extractor on Windows 64bit
If you are running the Data Extractor on a 64 bit machine, running 64bit Windows you may encounter some problems connecting.
Because the Data Extractor is a 32 bit application it requires a 32bit ODBC Connection.
In order to set up this connection you will need to follow these instructions:
- If you have not already installed the 32bit version of the driver, do so now (please see the User Guide for the Data Extractor for more information).
- You will then need to set up the Data Source using windows Data Source Administrator. Typically this is found from the Start menu, but this only allows access to the 64bit Administrator.
- Click on Start->Run
- type C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
- Click OK This will run the Data Source Administrator for 32bit. Fill in the information as indicated in the User Guide.
