With Principalm 7.2, users can access more detailed information on each student's conduct -- at the moment they need it ... around school grounds, in the hallway or out on a field trip. It can include everything from infractions like smoking or truancy to legal notices. This information is also searchable by student conduct, not just by student name.

DEAL WITH EMERGENCIES MORE EFFECTIVELY:

This new version has a greatly enhanced medical section. It includes not only existing medical conditions, but also a medical history. It also has the ability to search by bus number, if school staff need to inform parents of a late arrival.

LEARN FACES AND WATCH BEHAVIORS IMPROVE:

Back by popular demand, this face-matching game helps the user remember student names. By being able to better recognize students, school staff witness improved student behavior.

This new version also includes a number of functional improvements that make it easier to use. It is also now functional with a larger variety of Palm and Windows handheld devices, including the SmartPhone 2005 and later (eg. Motorola Q).

Bohemia, New York (March 14, 2006) - Contemporary Computer Services, Inc. (CCSI) and Discovery Software announced today that they have formed a strategic partnership, giving K-12 schools and districts across North America, instant access to student data anywhere and anytime - on a handheld device.

An integration bridge, built directly into eSD - eSchoolData, CCSI's web-based Student Information System, provides the connection to transfer school and student information into Principalm, a mobile student information system from Discovery Software. Through a simple export, districts can view student demographic data, photos, schedules, and emergency contacts from a Palm or Windows Mobile handheld device. Data exported from eSchoolData into Principalm is secure, current, and reliable.

Changes made in the eSchoolData System are propagated to Principalm allowing educators and administrators to view student and school information from any location.

Districts will be able to respond more quickly to emergencies, locate and identify students while on- and off-campus. From the hallways or the field, administrators have immediate access to a wealth of student information, enabling faster and more informed decisions, which inevitably help schools preserve student safety and school security.
