Inside Sales Representative
Discovery Software Ltd. is a leading software developer focusing on handheld administrative solutions for the K-12 education market. Our Langley based company is expanding and seeking an Inside Sales Representative.
As a member of the Sales team this position is responsible for generating new business opportunities and developing add-on business through a variety of proactive sales campaigns within an assigned territory. This position reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Pro-actively move a lead/prospect through the sales process and generate revenue through successful management of the sales pipeline and territory
- Manage outbound sales calls in support of a variety of sales and marketing campaigns
- Effectively communicate solution set, product functionality, pricing and support services
- Demonstrate the product via live online meetings
- Track all instances of lead/prospect contact and maintain a schedule for regular contact
- Accumulate relevant information about leads/prospects to ensure accuracy of Salesforce.com
- Attend industry related events as necessary (some amount of travel will be required)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of telephone sales experience, preferably selling software solutions
- Full sales-cycle experience with a track record of success against quota
- Enjoys the challenge of prospecting new business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Assertive, energetic self-starter who takes initiative
- Positive and outgoing personality and telephone manner
- Knowledge of contact management database software
