<ol>
    <li> The power of the device (in general newer devices are more powerful)</li>
    <li>The quality of the SD memory card (High Capacity is better than stock)</li>
</ol>

<p>In general, upgrading the hardware is much more effective than upgrading the card.  In our measurements, upgrading hardware from a BlackBerry 8300 to a BlackBerry Storm improved performance by a factor of more than 3x, whereas improving the SD card produced a modest 10% speed increase.</p>
